Cancellation Policy
Where you choose to cancel your booking, the lead booker should inform us immediately at info@champagneyachtsd.com or call us directly. We understand that circumstances change, you have 3 months prior to your departure date for a full refund of your deposit. If your charter has been cancelled due to unforeseen weather circumstances or weather advisory from the coast guard, we will refund you 100% or reschedule your charter at the earliest available date.
Is there a licensed captain?
Yes, all of our captains are Coast Guard certified and licensed to operate commercial vessels.
Do you have commercial insurance?
Yes, we are insured. A copy of which may be provided upon request.
Do you have a liquor license?
No, however, you may bring your own alcohol. We may also provide a 3rd party caterer to supply liquor upon request.
Does It Get Cold On The Yacht?
The yacht is equipped with both heating and air conditioning. During the winter months the boat has enough interior space to accommodate the whole group!
Is there Wifi?
Yes, we have a WiFi hotspot.
Do you cater?
We can provide several options for catering depending on your budget and type of event.
Is alcohol allowed?
Yes.
Is alcohol included?
Food and beverage is additional. We arrange for 3rd party caterers to supply the liquor. It’s suggested you purchase your own alcohol and we will serve it.
Is there an age requirement?
No age requirement however kids under 12 are required to wear life jackets. One will be provided if necessary.
What’s the boat's capacity?
49 people. however 40 people are preferred for comfort.
I have my sailing license, can I drive?
No, you may not drive. All our captains are commercially certified to specifically drive the Champagne Yacht.
Where do you sail to?
We sail around San Diego bay from Point Loma through down town past the midway and the navy ships to as far as South Bay.
Can I bring my own DJ?
Yes, a DJ may be provided at your request for an additional request. You may also provide your own DJ.
If I bring my own DJ, what would they need to bring?
All the DJ needs are their controller or CDJ’s. No additional speakers or equipment is necessary. The Champagne Yacht has a professional “club-like” system with over 20 speakers throughout the boat.
Where do you sail to?
We sail around San Diego bay from Point Loma through down town past the midway and the navy ships to as far as South Bay.
How long can I reserve the yacht for?
Champagne can be reserved for a minimum of 3 hours on weekdays to 4 hours on weekends. Additional time may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Can I see the yacht before I book it?
A tour of the yacht is possible. We are conveniently located in Point Loma near the airport. 4980 N Harbor dr. San Diego, CA 92106.
Do we have to wear life jackets? Do kids have to wear life jackets?
Adults are not required to wear life jackets. Kids under 12 must wear life jackets. You may bring your own or one will be provided.
Can I go fishing?
Finishing is not an option at this time.
What if someone in my party needs to leave early?
There are no early drop-offs unless discussed with the captain prior to boarding. If someone gets sick first aid team will make every effort to bring them back to shore immediately or call 911 if immediate medical attention is necessary.
Will I get sea sick?
We stay in the bay inside protected waters getting seasick is not usually an issue. We recommend taking Dramamine 30 minutes prior to boarding if you are susceptible to getting seasick.
